About Us

The Sumter American Legion Fair is a annual event that is held in Sumter, South Carolina since 1918. When you purchase parking, entry or ride tickets you are contributing to many of the programs ran by Sumter’s American Legion Post 15 that afford opportunities to our local community, veterans and youth.
Over the years, the fair has grown in popularity and size, attracting thousands of visitors each year. It typically takes place in October featuring a variety of rides, food, and vendors!
In addition to the traditional fair attractions, the Sumter American Legion Fair also hosts a number of special events. These include hundreds of premium categories, a beauty pageant, cattle barn, livestock show and entertainment acts.
